My Story
I went to my first Scentsy party in November of 2007. I was the QUEEN of all things smelly up to that point. I went through a ridiculous amount of candles, oils, room sprays and wall plug-ins. I had two small children of my own at that time AND I was running a State Licensed in-home daycare, so I needed pleasant scents in my home (have YOU ever been in a room with twelve toddlers?! - they smell like billy goats and someone is ALWAYS poopy!!) The flames from traditional candles were really beginning to worry me with that many curious, little people around. So when I saw the wickless candle concept, I was instantly intrigued. I left the Scentsy party that night having purchased the largest multi-pack available AND I went home and signed right on to be a consultant! I had never sold anything in my life! I was super excited and clueless. At that time, I just figured that I would be a consultant solely to support my new Scentsy addiction. Little did I know what was in store! My daycare mommies were the first to experience my new Scentsy products. None of them had ever seen it before and they loved it at first whiff! Most of them did basket parties (Scentsy's version of the catalog party) for me and five ultimately signed on to be a part of this journey. Everyone in my life got Scentsy that year for Christmas and my business just exploded from there. Scentsy has enriched my family's life in so many ways. Not only do I still get to enjoy yummy smelling goodies, but I get to do it without a single worry. We have Scentsy warmers in every room of our home and we leave them on all the time. We don't worry about them when we are sleeping or even when we are gone! Scentsy has been so much more for me than that though. In less than two years, I had promoted to the highest rank in the company. It's been almost 17 years now, and my group is made up of amazing girls AND guys from all over the world! They are SCENTsational and I'm blessed to get to work with each of them. I've made life-long friends on this journey and I've been fortunate to travel the world because of Scentsy too. Scentsy has carried my family financially during some really rough times in this economy. My paychecks continue to grow and financial freedom is just another gift Scentsy has given me. In so very many ways, I don't know where I would be without Scentsy. Scentsy just keeps offering me more ways to reach for the stars.
